it then becomes a self-extracting file.

To disable the IDE I/O Port, follow these steps:

Step 1 -- Set JP5 to pin 1-2 (JP5 1-2 short is the default),

Step 2 -- Boot your computer to the DOS prompt,

Step 3 -- Change to the subdirectory this enable program is located,

type EEPR1868 NOIDE.BIN (+ENTER)
