INSTRUCTION TO ENABLE/DISABLE IDE I/O PORT on 1853L 16-bit sound card





The IDE I/O port on 1853L 16-bit sound card is disable by default, it is

possible to enable it to support interrupt 10, 11, 12 or 15. If you need

to use this IDE port for your ATAPI CD-ROM drive, please follow these steps:



* Enable to support interrupt 12 or interrupt 10 or interrupt 11:

Step 1 -- Set JP5 to pin 1-2,

Step 2 -- Boot your computer to the DOS prompt,

Step 3 -- Change to the subdirectory this enable program is located,

type EEPR1853 IRQ12.BIN (+ENTER)

* Enable to support interrupt 15 or interrupt 10 or interrupt 11:

Step 1 -- Set JP5 to pin 2-3,

Step 2 -- Boot your computer to the DOS prompt,

Step 3 -- Change to the subdirectory this enable program is located,

type EEPR1853 IRQ15.BIN (+ENTER)

Step 2 -- Boot your computer to the DOS prompt,
