INSTALLATION:

-- Getting started
To install the mouse, you need the following items ready for use.
Computer :IBM PC, XT or AT, IBM PS/2 model (mouse port or serial port)
or other IBM compatible PCs.
Disk :A floppy disk or including a fixed disk.
DOS :The DOS Version 2.0 or later.
Memory :256K RAM or above.
Serial port :COM1 or COM2 (mouse port: PS/2 mouse only).
Monitor card:IBM Monochrome Adapter, IBM Color Graphics Adapter, IBM
Enhanced Graphics Adapter with Enhanced Color Monitor or other
compatibles.

-- Explanation of Mouse Driver Files
MOUSE. COM ---The file serves to activate the mouse. By typing the MOUSE
command, the driver program will be loaded into computer
memory.
TEST. EXE ---A mouse test program, including 12 mouse testing functions.
INSTALL. BAT---A batch file provided by us to assist you for easy, and
automatic installation purpose.
READ. ME ---A file with its contents relate to additional parameter
setting for the mouse. To see it, insert the driver diskette
into disk A, and at "A:\> "Prompt, simply type: "TYPE
READ. ME " Then you will see the contents.

-- Mode Selection
Microsoft Mode ---Simply power on the computer.
Mouse System Mode---Before turning on the computer, press any one of buttons
on the mouse, keep pressing the button until the computer
has completed all power up procedures.
Mote: If you found a slide switch, marked "MS" (2) & "PC" (3) on your mouse,
please operate it in reference to the instruction as below:
"MS" (2)---the mouse works under Microsoft mode.
"PC" (3)---the mouse works under Mouse System mode.
PS/2 Mode (for PS/2 models)---Simply power on the computer.

-- Floppy Disk Users
There is no specific installation process for floppy disk users, to use the
mouse, simply insert driver diskette into disk A, then at "A:\>" prompt,
type: "MOUSE ", then mouse driver is loaded.

-- Hard Disk Users
Start DOS until C:\> appears. Insert the driver diskette into disk A.
Following are two methods that both help you to install the mouse driver.
1. at "A:\>" prompt, type: "INSTALL A: C: "
2. at "C:\>" prompt, type: "MD MOUSE " then followed by
"COPY A: *.* C:\ MOUSE "


TROUBLE SHOOTING:

-- Mouse dirty
The rolling ball will accumulate dust that surely effects functionality,
periodical cleaning of the ball with tap water and mild soap is quite
necessary.
Step 1. Switch your computer OFF and turn the mouse upside down.
Step 2. Remove the ball housing cover.
Step 3. Clean the ball and case with tap water and mild soap. Use a clean,
lint-free cloth to dry the ball.
Step 4. Re-insert the ball and plug the mouse into the computer.

-- Mouse not working
If the mouse is not working, the following steps of trouble shooting are
recommended.
Step 1. Check cable connections. Be sure your mouse is connected to COM 1
or COM 2.
Step 2. Check if driver loaded. Sometimes the problem is as simple as
forgetting to load mouse driver program. Follow steps advised
previously to load driver.
Step 3. Check if you get to desired mode. Different application software
has their specific requirement for mouse application modes, be
sure you have entered the correct mode for the application
software, ie. Mouse System Mode for AutoCAD.
Step 4. Check application software specific requirement. Some application
software, ie Window 3.0, has their COM port and mouse mode decided
when set-up. Users have to enter into same mode and COM port to
ensure mouse works correctly with the application softwares.
