***** Microsoft Windows NT Installation *****

Note: The current NT setup procedure required the XL221 IRQ set to IRQ11.

Window NT New System Installation:

1. Start the Window NT installation by booting off from the Microsoft's
"Setup Disk For CD-ROM Installation" floppy disk.

2. Choose "Custom Setup" when Window NT prompt for setup mathod.

3. NT setup will then scan for SCSI adapter.

4. Choose "S" when NT setup ask to configure addition SCSI adapters.

5. Move the highlight bar to "OTHER" and press "ENTER".

6. NT setup will prompt for driver disk, insert the "XL221 Device
Driver" floppy disk and give NT setup a correct drive number and
press "ENTER".

7. The "Relialogic ISA SCSI Miniport Driver" will be highlighted
and press enter to proceed.

8. Beyond step 8, NT setup should now reconize and XL221 SCSI host
adapter and simply follow the Microsoft NT installation procedure.


Existing System Installation:

1. Boot up NT and login as Administrator.

2. Double-click on "Main".

3. Double-click on "Windows NT Setup".

4. Choose "Options", then choose "Add/Remove SCSI Adapters...".

5. Choose "Add" when "SCSI Adapter Setup" window pop up.

6. Choose "OK" in "Setup Message" window to go ahead.

7. On the adapter list, goto last list and select "Other".

8. When prompted for "Insert Diskette", insert the "XL221 Device Driver
Disk". Change path if not install from drive A, and choose "OK".

9. On the "Select OEM Option" window, the "Relialogic XL221 ISA SCSI
Miniport Driver" will be highlighted. Choose "OK" to proceed.

10. On the "Select SCSI Adapter Option" window, choose "Install".

11. Select "Current" will use the driver already in the system, select
"New" will use the drivers on the floppy disk.

12. On the "SCSI Adapter Setup" window, choose close.

13. The new driver will only be load after rebooting the NT system.
