I. PLUG & PLAY INSTALLATION

1. Install the Plug & play Modem in an available expansion slot in your
computer. Refer to your computer user's manual for instructions on
removing the computer cover and installing an add-in device. Turn
on your computer.

2. Place the Plug & Play installation disk in floppy drive A or B, and
change to the floppy drive DOS prompt by typing "a:" or "b:".
Type "install" and select the Quick install option. Follow the
screen instructions.

II. HOW TO CUSTOMIZE SIERRA PNP INSTALLATION ( SPNP ).

1. Reconige your's device type from the list of vendor ID provided by
VENDID.DAT.

SSC0006 : IQUARTET: QUARTET + ENHANCE IDE
SSC0100 : V34BIS MODEM WAVE FAX SPEAKER PHONE SQ3460
SSC0101 : V34BIS MODEM WAVE FAX SPEAKER PHONE SQ3465
SSC0102 : V34BIS SQ3460
SSC0103 : V34BIS SQ3470-3 IQUARTET OPL3
SSC0104 : V34BIS SQ3475 IQUARTET VOICEVIEW
SSC0105 : V34BIS SQ3470-4 IQUARTET OPL4

2. You can either modify a line which has a modem of your type or add in a
new line ( Recommend this one ) by doing following:

Put your vendor ID at the beginning of a line, then the Sierra compatible
vendor ID, uses comma as a separator.

For example:
your vendor ID : BRI0A49 (V32BIS MODEM WAVE FAX SPEAKER PHONE).
Add a new line as below to VENDID.DAT:

BRI0A49,SSC0000

3. VENDID.DAT allows maximum of 15 lines. Delete some lines if they are not in
use.


III. HOW TO INSTALL SPNP FROM HARD DRIVE "C:"
Xcopy installation disk onto a C:\ subdirectory. From this C:\subdirectory
type "Install".
