Microsoft CD Extensions (MSCDEX.EXE) Version 2.22
Provides CD-ROM Access

This driver enables the user to access a CD-ROM either from the
AUTOEXEC.BAT file or from the command prompt.


This disk contains the following files--

README.TXT
MSCDEX.EXE


In order to obtain a printout of this README.TXT file, insert this
disk in Drive A, make sure the printer is switched on, is on line,
and at the C:\> prompt, enter the following command--

PRINT A:README.TXT

and press .


INSTALLATION

1. Start up your computer.

2. Insert this diskette in Drive A.

3. At the C:\> prompt, type in:

CD \DOS

and press .

NOTE: In the above CD command, DOS is the name of the DOS directory
on your system.

4. Type in:

COPY A:MSCDEX.EXE

and press . The driver file from this disk is copied to
the DOS directory on your hard drive.

5. Now you can edit you AUTOEXEC.BAT to execute MSCDEX.EXE or you
can type MSCDEX at the command prompt.
