Lucent 5.75 firmware for "LT Win Modem" includes these changes from the last (5.70) version
(To see prior changes, which are cumulative, see the readme's listed at
http://808news.com/56k/ltwin7.htm )

Various enhancements for specific country support. New Country ID for United Arab Emirates.
Country id fix for Liechtenstein (which is different in NT4).

Added AT+GCI command per V.250 for Windows Millennium Edition.

Fixed bug in NT4 port close function.

Support for PCMCIA cards with Card Wizard 5.0 and Softex programs.

V.90: Tweaked a training timer to prevent network echo cancelers from
re-enabling in a rare case.

V.90 improved connections on lines with high harmonic distortion.

Fixed rare lockup with random RBS.

Fixed Windows 2000 problem with multiple suspend/resume cycles.

In modem inf file, disabled the prompt for "Connect Only at This Speed,"
which had caused problems in V.90.

Setup changes:
Changed timer for more reliable setup from CD.
Fixed Korean translation for reboot prompt.
Fixed Italian string to fit into window.
Only modem PNF files are deleted in NT4.

*** TO INSTALL ***

Simply run this exe (modem575.exe). It should automatically run setup,
which will remove the current modem and all its associated files, detect
the modem again, and install it with the new inf file.

*WARNING - While this software was designed for most Lucent LT-based Win Modems,
aka Apollo/Mars, there may be exceptions. You can always return to the firmware
you are currently using IF YOU ARCHIVE the current drivers. See:
http://808news.com/56k/ltwin.htm#procedure

It is BEST to run the .exe and let the Lucent SETUP program
run to complete the installation; however, you may also be able to update the
firmware using the procedure on the above-referenced web page.

In some situations your modem may be renamed from a "LT Win Modem" to a "Lucent
Win Modem", and you may have to change the dial-up-networking connection properties
to specify the new modem name as the modem to be used for the connection.

**TO FORCE THE [PCI] MODEM TO A SPECIFIC COM PORT**:
Edit the Ltmodem.inf file to uncomment (remove the semicolon - ; ) from the line:
[ltmodem_CommVars_AddReg]
HKR,, PORTNAME,,"COM2"
