If a subdirectory named Other exists under the Inf directory...

1. Double click the Other directory.

2. In the Other directory highlight the file(s) that starts with the name of the modem manufacturer and press the Delete key on your keyboard.

If a subdirectory named Other does not exist under the Inf directory...

1. Locate the files starting with OEM under the Inf directory.

2. Each OEM.inf file will have a number after the OEM in the name of the file.

3. Starting with the first file, double-click the file.

4. Scroll down the file until you see the [Strings] section, if your modem is listed here then close the file and delete it.

5. If you do not see a [Strings] section or you do not see the name of your modem close the file but do not delete it.

6. Continue this process for all OEM.inf files.
