There is currently no driver for Windows 7 available for this device.  To get the
device working with Windows 7, go into the camera’s settings by pressing Menu, move
to the right had tab, then select communication settings, change this setting from
normal to PTP. The camera then gets recognised by Windows 7. This information was
given by Canon Technical Support.
