Dell Inspiron/8100 laptop,Win/2000 Pro., RCA CDS4100 purchased @ radioshack several years ago. Camera works great, but I can't retrieve pics thru the software provided by rca.com.
Searched numerous sites on webb but no-one seems to know that rca built digital camera's
much less know where I can find another driver! The only access to camera is thru other software
as a twain device. Communication is verified but no pics appear, either on application or when saved to hard drive. File ext is registerd @ associated with images for windows. Is there other approches that I am missing?? I would appreciate help and/or advice before i throw camera thru
front window of the nearest RADIOSHACK!!

Have you contacted Radioshack and discuss your driver problem? What is the communication medium, Serial, USB, Firewire etc?

there is only one driver listed at rca for this cam and it can be found here.

copy and paste the above link into your browser.

does the cam use a memory card ?
if it does why not get yourself a cheap card reader, most card readers are usb so it would be much much faster the trying to use the old serial port.
