I searched for this, but didn't come up with much.

I'm missing a driver for something called "Network Controller", which is coming up under "Other Devices" in the Device Manager. I don't have any other information about the device. There are no names or numbers or well, anything.

I've tried using Driver Agent to find what I need, and the only thing it is telling me to get is something that does not work for this particular computer. It helped me with everything else I needed to find, but for whatever reason, I'm stuck on this.

I'm on a Dell Latitude C610 laptop, running Windows 2000 Professional. My mother re-formatted the computer and everything is working great except for the last missing driver I mentioned. I am currently under the impression that this "Network Controller" has something to do with the wireless card my mother mentioned she believes it has. Seeing as I know only rudimentary information about computers, I have no idea what I'm looking for since the Drive Agent came up with a dud.

As you may be able to tell, I'm grasping at straws here. Anyone know what I might be looking for?

This is the driver it told me I needed, however, when I downloaded it, my laptop was not in the list of systems at the beginning of the installation and it would not proceed.

if that is a dell laptop it should have a service tag number on it.
if you can't find that service tag number look in the bios screen.
first page of that in teh top right your service tag number should be listed.

note that down then enter it at dell and you should be able to find your lan card driver.
