Hello all,

I bought a Mercury motherboard P1945GCM with Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

When I am starting my PC it ask me to "Press F1 to enter setup"

There is neither any error nor any other options to select.
Every time I have to enter into set up(BIOS) then exit from it using "Esc" . Now after exiting from set up(BIOS) I have not again that " Press F1... " and my Windows starts now.

For every time during Powering ON PC I have to do this.

I have new keyboard attached properly. I have also new and charged BIOS battery cell.
I also tried with applying default BIOS set up with no success.

Please help me out to remove this situation.

BR.
it will keep asking this question unless you save the config on exit.

next time it pops up enter your bios settings.
set the time and date on the first page
press ecs then F10

thats the most common used way to save to cmos.
it should not ask after that.
if it does , double check the bios battery on the board, sounds silly but make sure you have fitted it the correct way round
+ facing upwards.

if your sure that is correct you may have a faulty track from bios battery backup to
bios chip.
that would take a great deal of work to track down and the board needs to be removed to trace the fault.
Hi,

Thanks I will check this out.

Regards,
Kavit.
