Hi all, new to the board. I have just put into place my first homeserver, the T300 from dell. So far things are good but i ran into an issue with a client that i installed xp professional on. The problem was the same problem outlined in this post but there is no answer on the board. Davey6 would you mind shooting me the answer to this issue? I surely would appreciate it.
what pc is giving you the problem the dell or the clients pc ?

if its the dell please do this.
look on that dell for a serice tag number write that down.
then click this link and enter that service tag number to get the correct downloads.

if its not a dell giving the problems please post the make and model number of the pc / laptop or motherboard make and model number.
It was the client which is a Gateway E-series with the

Motherboard Name Intel Rexburg D845GRG (3 PCI, 1 AGP, 2 DIMM, Audio, Video)
intel 82801db ich4 - lan controller 8256et/ez phy as per everest
all three (audio, video, and ethernet has no driver as per computer management)
Computer serial number 0028840378 (which i did find my computer on MPC but with no help there)

This is all i know since I ran everest, however, i ran it prior to it becoming a client and afterword everest home version did not work since it was networked in a domain.

Any help would be appreciated.
two options.

intel list that board as end of life but the last known drivers can be found here.

or write down the serial number ( your missing the letters from that ) of that gateway and enter it here and see what gateway offer you to download.

oh and before i forget and you drop a big boo boo

do not load up the bios updates offered by intel.
gateway will have done a mod to that bios to make it their own.

if all else fails you will need to look at the motherboard it will have a gateway part number on it.
search the part number at gateway and you should find what your looking for.
