Hi everyone, my first post here. Hope I got the correct section

I recently bought a PCI to USB 1.1 card for my second computer. It is a Dell optiplex, Pentium I, 150MHz, running Windows 98SE.

What I'm wondering is if there is a universal driver for all HID compliant devices because I have some USB devices that run without any drivers on my other computer (2.2GHz running Windows Vista), but when I plug them into the old computer it asks me for drivers that I don't have

sorry , what you need is the correct drivers for your device.
the problem is windows 98 /98se / me / 2k are no longer supported
and windows 95 / 98 / 98se had no built in mass storage device drivers like other versions of windows

contact the people of device you want to use and see if they have any old 98se drivers laying about.
