Hey. I've got a problem with my Icons. I bougth a new laptop with a dvd burner in it. Now Windows always shows me the saferemove icon in the taskbar. But it's useless for me, because I don't use it for the drive and for other things I use easyEject. Anyway there's also the other simbol of the security alert in the bar. I attached a pic of the two problems. My question is there a way to let them dissaper? Something to change in the regestry...?

PS: OK the Image doesn't work. But you hoppefully know what I mean. I use Vista Buisness Version

So here I have the pic

the safe remove icon i think your stuck with.

with the security alert right click on the iocn and open the security window.
click change the way windows alerts me.
take the tick out of
windows update , anti virus , firewall
click apply and ok .
the firewall will try and stop you click continue

that will remove that icon
