Dear friend I have been dealing with this problem for quite sometimes now but no positive feedback when it come to my technochal part.

After I have started my PC, I can hear the fan working and all the POST activities started being done eg. The blinking of the keyboard leads. The two leads ie power lead and HDD leads will keep lighting forever and no display is shown to the monitor if I dont press the reset button.

The action of pressing the reset button will cause the computer to start beeping as usual as when detecting device connected to the PC or internal device like RAM.From this instance the power lead will start blinking and the display appear. I can then comfortably use my PC from that point.

Addition Note: When I restart the computer after it has completed booting up the OS, I dont encounter any problem.

I am real interested of the followings my dear friends:
-To know of what might be the cause
-To know how to rectify the problem for normal usage.

Thank you.
the computer is hanging at post.

this may be down to the following.

1.bad bios , reload bios defaults.

2. bad ram , replace the memory sticks or swap them around.

3. bad hard drive, remove the hard drive ide cable and see if you get a normal start up cold boot.
