I thank all of you who have participated in making me happy in this field of IT.

Refering to the post I made about a monitor which is not displaying the problem is solved, however I still expirience a minor problem which I hope will come to its end. When I start booting my PC it show that the processor fan is working and the power lead is lighting but no display to the monitor, also no POST activities are done unless I switch again the power button of te PC. The second switch allows the POST activities to be done and the monitor start to display the booting activities of the PC. What should I do to make sure that the POST activities prior booting and monitor displaty are done imediately after I switch on the power?

The monitor type is IBM 6546.
you have to check your hardware for faults.
sounds like the bios is hanging at point of its self check

remove your memory sims and clean the contacts with a rubber and replace them in the pc.
do the same on any video card and sound card in the pc.

reset the bios to its defaults so it goes back to full auto detect on start up.

its also possible you may have a faulty psu the first cold boot may not be getting enough power from a old psu.
