I was just wondering if anyone has a clue how to contact any moderator, administrator or webmaster for Driverzone.com. I have spent the better part of the last hour trying to Email the email links for the Webmaster and any other available link to which all are returned as invalid or unkown. The process started when I attempted to email missinglink@driverzone.com for several bad links that upon hitting download button just send you to a SEARCH page. Even that email address returned a Username at Charter.net that was unknown. Attempts to email Webmaster@Driverzone returned the same garbage. Attempts to email moderators or Administrator I am told I don't have access or I haven't recieved my authentication yet which supposedly I have. Anybody have a clue on how to actually tell someone that there is a problem with there links and email addresses or is this just some sort of front that nobody really cares about or something. I am so confused, I could swear that I have used this site several times over the last couple of years with no problems, but maybe I am losing it. I feel like I am today! Frustration central. By the way if anyone can tell me how to get the PDF's for the SyJet 1.5 Gig SCSI version off the zone, I would sure appreciate it.
i don't know why the webmaster account is not working something for the admin of the site to have a look at.
the rest of the pm's and emails are locked down to stop spam.
i do the same thing on my own site after i found out the spam bots can access the member list and start flooding members
as you can guess that is something we just can't allow ever
all we are doing is protecting our members from unwanted spam thats why open boards such as this one are locked down.
Thanks Dave,
I understand the issues with open versus locked, but when you are actually a member and have been confirmed I would think you should be able to contact someone to tell them that links that they have posted as valid or totally invalid. If your website does not offer the drivers that you say you do, what is the point of having a website period. Security can only be taken so far and then you just end up with a useless website. Unless your doing an awful lot of link checking, and site quality control on your own, you have to depend on your users to report problems. In any case I still don't have my manuals/drivers. I guess I will have to see if there is another site out there with the information. Thanks for at least replying.

you will still find the same sort of problems no matter where you post.
the reason is some of the links are years old ,
i myself have been doing this board for some 7 years now so some of the links in the old post go dead or get moved.
companies go bust or bought out.
this is a none stop battle with the net and links.
i could post a link today and in a week it won't work any more and i have to start all over again.
its impossible to sit here and look at thousands of links to check they still work.
myself i would sooner a member post on the board like you did and say this link does not work any other links out there.
if you want to see how clever the search bots have got just take a look at the who's online part of the forum every now and then you will see them trying to email a member or use the pm system. if its shut down they report back it don't work ie: protecting the member.
i know its a pain but its a sign of the times with the net and the battle with spam
as for your problem with the SyJet , the reason the link has gone dead is because SyQuest. got taken over or changed their name.
the driver link listed here goes dead.
http://www.syquest.com/
now if you contact syquest at SyQuest@SyQuest.com you may or may not get a answer as to why you can't download the drivers.
I have no access to the database at driverzone i can only use the same search as yourself, so if it don't show up in my search i can't access the database direct to look.
