I bought a Gateway GT5408 with Windows Vista home premium installed. I have a perfectly good working HP Photosmart 1215 printer that I would like to use. I can't seem to figure out the driver workarounds that I have found elsewhere on the web. I need step by step instructions please. I have done a system restore, so that my computer is back the way is was when I started, now what?
Frustrated,
Kathy

Thank you, I tried your suggestion...but I give up...nothing seems to work for me. I tried several other suggestions and spent hours of frustration on it. I just bought a new all-in-one with wifi...the HP C6180. So far, so good...just hated to part with a perfectly good working printer and spend money that I really shouldn't. But I caved in :0) I did get it on sale with coupons...LOL, good excuse huh?
Thanks again,
Kathy
nothing wrong with treating yourself every now and then.
i just built myself a new pc just so i could get the best out of vista, there was nothing wrong with my old one it run vista very well even got a score of 5.1 but i still dumped 99% of the hardware and started over.
well i say dumped i put it in my partners machine sort of a hand me down, only davey is allowed near this pc and my servers anyone else gets there fingers cut off lol
vista is proving to be a pain , which is what i was saying even when i was beta testing it , i still don't like it , maybe when they bring out service pack 1 i might change my mind.
