I purchased a Compaq V6205NR laptop that came with Vista. I tried it, didn't like it, and then installed XP Pro. I have everything working except for the video card. The video card is a nVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 (integrated laptop).

Does anyone know what driver I could use?

I've downloaded and tried to install many, but I haven't been able to get it working.

Any ideas?

the laptop model differs from yours but it still has the same gfx chip.

I found drivers that worked at this link for XP on a Compaq v6205nr :

How did you get the rest of the stuff to work. I have been thinking about doing the same thing, but I am having a hard time finding all the drivers.

Everything works for me with the drivers from the link above. I actually did this with two V6205NR laptops and both are working well.

Which link are you talking about? When I use the drivers from sp34200, sp34204, sp35682, and sp23455.exe and it is telling me its the wrong drivers. What was the file name you used for the audio drivers?

if your trying to load up the Conexant High Definition Audio Driver on any hp / compaq laptop you must load up the Microsoft Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) Bus Driver for High Definition Audio (sp33867) first or the conexant driver fails to work.

Hi am new hello,

Rite ive got a problem same as ur man at the top drysnow,

but ive got a Compaq Presario F500,

Driver updates and installs fail all the time is there any out there that will upgrade.

Vista was not a good choice laptop for 1 month 3 full reinstalls and now XP Pro

Works faster just lots of driver issues all over at the mo

have a quick read of this work round that i found for a member on my own site. it did work for him may also work for you.

that work round is for hp laptops only i am still looking for a toshiba one.
