I have PC Acer and my DVD and CD drive was working, now some things rung CD ,DVD can not read.... I thinks need driver?any one can give me an hand what to do<

So some discs will load and others will not? Is is consistant with what discs will and will not read or inconsistant? You may need to clean the reader heads, or the discs or the drive maybe bad. I doubt that a firmware upgrade would make it work vs. not working unless you are reading a disc with a new encryption on it.

I have an Acer also running Windows Vista. same thing happened to me. DVD/CD worked, then sometimes worked then computer says there is no drive. I went and got the drive replaced, and it still does not work. Device Manager says this device cannot start. Error Code 10. anyone know or understand what to do here?
