Hi, I powered down my HP Entertainment Laptop it has AMD64 and is Windows XP system and believe no one was near it, when I powered it up the password will not let me in, I've had this unit for 5 months never a problem with it, now I can't get in. I have no idea what happened. Nor what to do to gain access. Anybody have an idea as to what I can do?

sorry but as that laptop is so new we can not help you on this board.

passwords in newer laptops need a factory reset code.

take the laptop to your hp dealer along with the invoice.
they should be able to clear the password for you.
