i have a dimension 4550 DEll pc and i can't find the "[/color][/size]PCI simple communication controller" . i' ve a yellow question mark for this driver. is there a difrent name for this driver because i cuod not find it on Dell.com. what part of my computer affects?

usually this would mean an add-in card for one of the following
Modem,
extra printerport
extra serial ports.

check and see if you have any PCI cards with any of those functions knowing some info about those would help us direct you to the right place.

PCI simple communication controller 9 times out of 10 is a dail up modem.

go to dell and enter your service tag number found on the back or side of your pc and call up the downloads for your pc
