I have a gateway gt 5028 and am getting a yellow exclamation mark in device manager saying that the device is not recognizable. The network card is not showing up in device manager either AND I;m also getting a 'other pci bridge device' exclamation and 'sm bus controller'. I've already downloaded the driver from gateway, but nothing. I've also downloaded what i thought was the network card driver , but still no luck. After doing a freesysinfo checl (

i think your motherboard drivers are missing thats why you have so many errors and drivers for your network card are not working.
any idea what chipset you have in your computer ? intel , via , sis ?
if you have no idea download and run everest free ed from this link.

with the program running call up the motherboard then select the chipset everest will tell you what one you have.
like wise it should be able to tell you what network card is in the system even without the drivers installed.
if you get stuck post back with what everest tells you and what windows you are running and i will try and find the correct drivers for you.
