if its a older case and the top and sides are all in one bit try doing this.
the old case's had a lip that goes under the top plastic so in order to remove it you have to slide backwards first then you should be able to remove it.
be warned if this is a old case the insides may be very very sharp indeed i have cut myself more then once with these old case's.
