dus any1 still use this???

i know one or two people that still use this on very very old laptops.

I believe it runs quite quickly on a P4.:O

I still use 3.1/DOS, I even have it as a backup OS on most of my new machines aswell as the main os on my laptop and older PCs, Unfortunately, its hard to use dos now, because of the NTFS filesystem used by Windows NT/2K/XP, And so I am using dos less now, But I will keep using DOS and older Windows systems as long as I can.

And about it running on P4, Well, It does run on P4, And also, On AMD Sempron/Athlon XP, It runs very fast on these systems, Oddly enough, the AMD Duron, Which was half made to run on a DOS based system (like Win 98/ME) is out performed by a 386 when forced to run DOS.

Anyone tried running DOS on an AMD 64? (I am guessing, that as the AMD 64, Probably doesnt have 16-Bit instruction set, It wouldnt work at all on a 64-bit CPU, But I think I will give it a try actualy)

Pau, when are you going to dump the old stuff and step into the 21st Centuary. If everyone thought like you, we would still have the horse and cart as a modern transport item. If you are using DOS/3.1 as a backup, you will never get a serious job in this industry.
