I have a 55hdm71 Hitachi 55" Plasma display hooked up to my pc for watching Netflix etc. Is there a display driver anywhere?, i have looked but could not find one. Currently my Win XP just shows as generic display 1024x768

Thanks

Hello and welcome to DriverZone.

It does not appear that there is a Model Specific Driver for this monitor. Are you using the RGB 1 Digital (DVI) input or the the RGB 2 Analog Dsub input?

If you are using the RGB 1 Digital (DVI) Input you are limited to 1024x768 in VESA Display mode with the Plug and Play Vesa Driver. I believe you can achieve High Definition resolutions by changing the setting on the monitor from DVI-PC to DVI-STB. This may force windows to load a new driver. The resolutions supported by this DVI-STB setting are 480P 720x480, 720p(at 60Hz) 1280x720, and 1080i(at 60Hz) 1920x1080.

You could also switch to the RGB 2 Analog (Dsub) input to support resolutions of 1152x864, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, 1280x768, and 1366x768

You can find additional details in the user manual found here:

Thanks for the reply, The manual came in very handy as we picked this unit up used with no manual.
I 'm using a Nvidia GT520 1 gig video card and found a control panel that allowed me to set it up to 1080. throught the DVI connector (DVI-STB).
Thanks for the help!
