try windows xp pro you would drop linux if you did.

No I would not drop linux for win XP pro! My dad has it on his one computer and I like linux alot more!
I have SUSE Linux 9, Brilliant, The amount you can customize it is great! And the screen savers on linux are my favorite aswell, especially one I found, Flying Toast!
I am new to linux though, I recently loaded it on my old server, and the only problem I have with it is the slow start up, But my server is a bit slow anyway, so it could be the computer.
