Matrox G-Series - 5.93 Driver Release Notes October 2004 1 - Support =========== All G-series products are supported except for Matrox Marvel G200 SD, Matrox Marvel G400, and Matrox Marvel G450 eTV. 2 - New Features ================ - When you start the Matrox Hybrid Display utility, you can select between options "Enable a basic multi-display setup" and "Enable an advanced multi-display setup". Respectively, these options let you choose a simple user interface with the basic display setups for up to 4 screens, or an advanced user interface for more complex display setups with MMS products. 3 - Key bug fixes ================= 9687 - Multi-Display Control doesn't work while in hybrid mode. 9851 - G450MMS - Redraw problems with bus mastering disabled while using a display resolution of 3200x1200. 9907 - DVDMax plays inverted fields on TV. If you get inverted fields when playing back a video, try adding the registry switch DualHead.Context0.DVDMaxReverseFieldOrder as a work- around. 9852 - Random crashes in 2D when in 3200x1200. 10373 - Desktop corruption with NCR systems. 4 - Known problems and limitations ================================== Matrox PowerDesk ---------------- - The MaxView desktop management feature doesn't work properly. Program windows always span across all displays when they're maximized. Matrox Hybrid Utility --------------------- - The option "Enable a basic multi-display setup" is available for both MMS and DualHead-supporting (G450/G550) products. - The option "Enable an advanced multi-display setup" is only available with MMS products. - Matrox Hybrid Display supports more than one graphics card at a time, but they must be the same type: G450MMS, G200MMS, or G450/G550. - With Matrox DualHead-supporting products, the DualHead features of PowerDesk are disabled, but Multi-Display Controls (Desktop Management) are still accessible. - With Matrox DualHead-supporting products, only 2x2 and 4x1 modes are available.
